I meet with Nckt in the South of Manchester to do one last drain. It had been raining heavily in the preceding days, so upon arriving at the lid for our primary target, we found the overflow tunnel acted also as storage and was full of water.

Luckily there was a little CSO nearby so headed to that instead. Getting in couldn't have been easier, a hinged lid in some bushes dropped us straight into the chamber. It was a simple concrete setup, the weir had no screen, the designers choosing a grill over the dual outfall pipes instead.

Despite it's small size we spent a good hour down there talking and taking photos. Massive shouts to Nckt for many good trips over the last few years.
