Baptiser is one of the many culverts that take the Hockley brook under Birmingham. I'd spent the day with Eotech driving around the West Midlands looking at a few bits and we ended up in Birmingham. After finding a way down into the brick channel we headed upstream, dipping in and out of culverts as we went.

Eventually we came to a junction, the side pipe ran parallel and was full of ochre water which sloped down to an indeterminate depth. The main tunnel continued to a dual arch which shrank down into a deep stoopy section where a canal passes overhead. This marked the end point for us and this drain's namesake, for those without chest waders breach in the Baptiser.
