Shatterproof is essentially the overflow for the In My Sights tank which outfalls to the River Medlock.
I met up with troubleuk to have a look at the downstream section, then returned years later with TheVicar to complete the trip. I've seen this overflow spilling and knowing what is upstream this shouldn't be attempted in wet weather.
Moving upstream, the pipe changes to CMP before entering a pit. Pumps in an adjacent chamber send normal level flow off to be processed as it contains an ochre sludge that would pollute the Medlock.
Just downstream of the last pic the sewer enters a retangular section before taking a sharp right, after which is an almighty roar. Presumably the dropshaft down into the In My Sights tank.
